Questions people actually ask.

01How much is a broken iPhone worth in the UK?

More than most sites will tell you. In our July 2026 check across 14 UK buyback sites, a cracked iPhone 13 was priced as low as £1.62 elsewhere. Put the same phone through our calculator and the difference is embarrassing for them, because cracked glass in front of a perfect display is a screen fine phone, not waste.

02Can I sell an iPhone that won't turn on?

Not through the quote flow, because we cannot verify what is wrong with a device that will not power on. It can still do some good: our Phones for Football programme with Newbury United FC sends you a prepaid envelope, and proceeds support grassroots football.

03Can I sell an iPhone with a cracked screen?

Yes. Cracked screens are our speciality. As long as it powers on, we will buy it. The condition of the display is the main thing that moves the price.

04How fast will I get paid?

Most customers are paid within 48 hours of us receiving their device. Inspection happens within one working day of arrival, and payment follows by bank transfer.

05Is it safe to post my phone?

Yes. We post you a free trade in pack: a padded envelope with a prepaid tracked label and a checklist, everything ready to go. Pop your phone in and hand it over at any Post Office. Nothing to print, nothing to pay.

06What if my phone goes missing in the post?

Genuinely rare: every pack travels on a tracked Royal Mail service. If it does happen, keep your free proof of posting receipt and we handle the Royal Mail claim for you. The details live in our terms.

07Do I have to go to the Post Office?

No. Book a Royal Mail collection from your door at royalmail.com using the tracking number on your label. If you do go to the Post Office, ask for the free proof of posting receipt and keep it.

08What happens to my data?

Every device is erased in line with recognised industry standards (NIST SP 800-88 and IEEE 2883), the erasure is verified, and a certificate is recorded against your order.

09What if the offer changes after inspection?

If your device does not match the condition you described, we send a revised offer with an explanation. You can accept it or have your device returned free of charge.

10Do I need the original box or charger?

No. Your price is the same whether or not the box, cable and charger are long gone.

11Do I need to switch off Find My iPhone?

Yes. Find My (Activation Lock) must be switched off before we can buy your device. You can do it in Settings on the phone, or from iCloud.com after it is posted.

12Can I sell a phone with a swollen battery?

Not by post. Devices with swollen or leaking batteries are not safe to send through the UK postal network.

13Do you buy iPads too?

Not just yet. We currently buy iPhones, from the iPhone 11 up to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. iPads, Samsung and Apple Watch are on the way.

14What happens to my device after you buy it?

Devices are refurbished and reused where possible. Those beyond repair are harvested for working parts, and the rest is responsibly recycled.
