A new iPhone screen from Apple costs £219 to £389. Before you pay it, compare it with what the phone is worth. Here is each model: what a screen repair costs, what we pay for it cracked as it is, and what we pay once it works.
The quick answer
Fix it if you want to keep the phone. If you were going to sell it anyway, work out whether the repair costs less than the gap between the cracked price and the working price. On most models an Apple repair costs more than that gap, so you keep more money by selling it as it is, and it takes minutes rather than a trip to a store.

What the columns mean
Apple screen repair is Apple’s UK out of warranty price for a new display, without AppleCare+. High street repair is iSmash’s range for the same phone: the low figure is a non Apple screen, the high one their genuine screen. A non Apple screen can show an “unknown part” message on the phone and can lower what it sells for later. Repair prices were checked on 29 September 2026 and change without notice, so check before you book.
Our prices are what ReMint pays on 6 October 2026 for the smallest storage size. Cracked means the display is cracked, has lines or blots, or has been replaced.
