broken or not.

Prices updated 6 October 2026.

iPhone 14 128GB, Face ID failed, picture perfect: £111 against £119 working, 6 October 2026.

A cracked or broken iPhone 14 still sells. Cracked glass over a good screen is Picture fine; a bad LCD, with lines or blotches, or a replacement screen is Picture faulty. Face ID not working or a cracked back is allowed in both, though it has to switch on, and a iPhone 14 that won't charge cannot be bought.

The iPhone 14 went on sale in September 2022 with a 6.1 inch OLED screen, which makes it about 4 years old. This is the age where one is worth more to somebody who repairs phones than to anybody who scraps them, working or not. Get your price in a minute and post it free.

What we know about the iPhone 14

Apple redesigned the inside of the 14 so the back glass comes off on its own. On every iPhone before it a cracked back meant replacing the whole chassis, so a 14 with a smashed back is a much cheaper phone to bring back than a 13 with the same damage.

There is no systematic fault on the 14, and we would rather say so than invent one. One thing does catch people out: iPhone 14s sold in America have no SIM tray at all, because Apple made them eSIM only there. If yours came from the States and you cannot find the slot, nothing has broken.

Is this the phone you have?

A 14 and a 13 are the same 6.1 inch phone with a notch and two diagonal lenses, and there is no reliable way to tell them apart by eye. Settings, General, About settles it. One clue: an iPhone 14 with no SIM tray at all was sold in America.

If the screen has gone

The iPhone 14 has a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED. A broken one is not scrap. The board, the cameras and the battery are untouched, and the panel itself is a part another iPhone 14 needs.

With the picture still good, a cracked one runs 128 GB £111, 256 GB £122 and 512 GB £127. If the display itself is damaged rather than the glass over it, a 128 GB is £77.

With the picture gone a 128 GB keeps 65 per cent of that, one of the better ones on this site. What a broken iPhone 14 is worth takes it size by size.

Exact price for your size

This model came in 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. Nothing changes between them but capacity: the same 6.1 inch screen, the same cameras and the same battery in all three.

Working, this model runs 128 GB £119, 256 GB £132 and 512 GB £137. At 128 GB, the iPhone SE (2022) pays £98 less and the iPhone 14 Plus pays £12 less.

Why sell your iPhone 14 to ReMint?

An iPhone 14 is still somebody's next phone, which is why our number beats a scrap price. We repair what needs it, harvest what we cannot save, and sell direct from the warehouse we share with iMint.

Free tracked postage, checked within a working day, paid within 48 hours of it arriving, erased to recognised standards with the record kept.

Making a phone is where the damage is. Not using it. Which is why the greenest phone is one that already exists.

Selling this phone keeps roughly 48 kg of CO2e worth of manufacturing in use.

Where this figure comes from

Apple publishes a lifecycle footprint of 61 kg CO2e for a 128GB iPhone 14, from mining the materials to recycling the phone. Apple states 79 per cent production. That share of 61 kg is 48 kg.

Keeping a working iPhone 14 going displaces the manufacture of a new one, so we quote the 48 kg rather than the whole 61 kg. Charging it, shipping it and recycling it happen either way.

It says roughly because it assumes your iPhone 14 replaces one that would otherwise have been built. Apple's 61 kg is for the 128GB model as published in September 2022, and a larger size carries a larger footprint.

For a sense of scale, that is the same quantity of CO2e as driving about 180 miles in an average car.

Apple, Product Environmental Report: iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, September 2022. Mileage at 0.26915 kg CO2e per mile, UK Government conversion factors 2025.

Questions people ask before selling

What is an iPhone 14 worth right now?

The quote above answers it exactly, and two things move the number. Size counts here, so check yours in Settings, General, About. Then condition, and the glass and the picture count separately: cracked glass with a good picture underneath is our middle grade, and a fault in the picture itself is the bottom one. Ordering locks your price for 10 days.

What does my iPhone 14 need to do for you to buy it?

It has to switch on, charge, and work. Under 80% battery is priced as Picture fine. Works fine: no cracks, everything works, battery 80% or above. Picture fine: LCD is good, front or back glass can be smashed, and Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Picture faulty: bad LCD, or an aftermarket screen, with the same faults allowed.

What counts as Works fine for an iPhone 14?

No cracks front or back, everything works, battery health 80 per cent or above. That is the full price for your size, shown at the top of this page.

What counts as Picture fine for an iPhone 14?

The LCD is good: original screen, perfect picture, and the front or back glass can be smashed. A crack free phone with a battery under 80 per cent is priced here too. Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Its price is the middle figure above.

What counts as Picture faulty for an iPhone 14?

The picture itself is wrong on this iPhone 14, or the screen is not original; Face ID, a camera or a button can be broken as well. That is our bottom grade, and it still pays real money because the rest of the phone keeps its value.

My iPhone 14 has a cracked screen. Do I get next to nothing for it?

You will not, as long as the picture underneath is perfect and it is still the original screen. The glass and the picture are graded separately: cracked glass on its own is "picture fine", because the picture is what that word means to us, and a cracked iPhone 14 sits in our middle grade, not the scrap pile. The lower grade is for the picture itself being faulty, lines, blotches, blank patches, or a screen that ignores your finger, and for a non original replacement screen. A cracked back is graded exactly like a cracked front, so it does not drop you down either.

Does low battery health matter on an iPhone 14?

The 80 per cent line in Settings, Battery is the thing to look at first. Above it, a crack free iPhone 14 is Working grade. Below it the phone counts as Picture fine, which is a real price rather than a refusal, and the quote shows you that number before you post anything.

Can I sell an iPhone 14 that is locked to a network?

You can: we buy network locked phones. Check the lock is really there first though, because it probably is not: selling locked handsets has been banned in the UK since December 2021, so phones from the iPhone 13 onwards, your iPhone 14 included, are nearly always unlocked already. If yours is locked, a fixed amount, shown in pounds before you commit to anything, comes off the quote. Or keep the whole price: ask your network to unlock it before you post it, which is free, usually done within a day or two, and something only the account holder can do, so we cannot do it for you. Not sure is still an honest answer in the quote flow; nothing comes off for it, and if the phone turns out to be locked we tell you before anything else happens.

Do I need to switch off Find My before selling my iPhone 14?

Yes. Find My is Apple's Activation Lock, and a phone still carrying it cannot be erased or resold, so it must be off before we can pay you. Switch it off in Settings on the iPhone 14, or from iCloud.com after it has gone in the post. If it arrives still locked we hold it for 14 days so you can remove the lock, rather than sending it straight back.

What if my iPhone 14 will not turn on?

No price on that one, because with an iPhone 14 that will not switch on we cannot verify what is wrong or erase it to standard. Rather than guess at a number we say so. Apple stores and council recycling centres both take it free, and neither will try to sell you anything.

How fast will I be paid for my iPhone 14, and can the offer drop?

Inspection happens within one working day of arrival, and the money follows by bank transfer within 48 hours of the phone arriving. If the iPhone 14 in front of us does not match what you told us, the price does not just shrink: we send a revised offer with an explanation, and you choose between taking it and having the phone back free.
