iPhone 13 128GB, Face ID failed, picture perfect: £103 against £104 working, 6 October 2026.
Selling a cracked or broken iPhone 13? A cracked iPhone with a good screen is Picture fine. A broken screen, lines, blotches or a replacement display, is Picture faulty. A smashed one with a cracked back or Face ID not working can be either; a phone that won't charge is one we cannot buy.
The iPhone 13 went on sale in September 2021 with a 6.1 inch OLED screen, which makes it about 5 years old. This is the age where one is worth more to somebody who repairs phones than to anybody who scraps them, working or not. Get your price in a minute and post it free.

Not sure which one is yours? Picture fine means the picture is perfect however the glass looks. Picture faulty means the display itself is faulty or has been replaced. Hidden faults, battery to Face ID, are accepted in both. Our three grades, explained properly.
Prices shown for 128 GB, the smallest this model came in. A working 512 GB pays £21 more.
What we know about the iPhone 13
The 13 is where the base storage doubled. The 12 before it started at 64 GB and the 13 starts at 128, so a 128 GB 13 is the bottom of its range where a 128 GB 12 was a step up from it.
If somebody has already replaced the screen on it, check whether Face ID still works. On the 13 a non genuine display used to disable Face ID entirely until Apple changed that in iOS 15.2, and a phone repaired before then can still be carrying the message.
Is this the phone you have?
6.1 inches, two rear cameras set diagonally, and a notch noticeably smaller than the 12's. The 14 that followed looks near enough the same phone, so if it matters, and it does to the price, check Settings, General, About.
If the screen has gone
The iPhone 13 has a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED. A broken one is not scrap. The board, the cameras and the battery are untouched, and the panel itself is a part another iPhone 13 needs.
With the picture still good, a cracked one runs 128 GB £103, 256 GB £122 and 512 GB £122. If the display itself is damaged rather than the glass over it, a 128 GB is £60.
Once the picture itself has gone, a 128 GB still holds 58 per cent, a little above the middle of our range. What a broken iPhone 13 is worth has the rest of the arithmetic.
Exact price for your size
This model came in 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. Nothing changes between them but capacity: the same 6.1 inch screen, the same cameras and the same battery in all three.
Working, this model runs 128 GB £104, 256 GB £125 and 512 GB £125. At 128 GB, the iPhone 13 mini pays £50 less and the iPhone 13 Pro pays £36 more.
Why sell your iPhone 13 to ReMint?
An iPhone 13 is still somebody's next phone, which is why our number beats a scrap price. We repair what needs it, harvest what we cannot save, and sell direct from the warehouse we share with iMint.
Free tracked postage, checked within a working day, paid within 48 hours of it arriving, erased to recognised standards with the record kept.
Making a phone is where the damage is. Not using it. Which is why the greenest phone is one that already exists.
Selling this phone keeps roughly 52 kg of CO2e worth of manufacturing in use.
Where this figure comes from
Apple publishes a lifecycle footprint of 64 kg CO2e for a 128GB iPhone 13, from mining the materials to recycling the phone. Apple states 81 per cent production. That share of 64 kg is 52 kg.
Keeping a working iPhone 13 going displaces the manufacture of a new one, so we quote the 52 kg rather than the whole 64 kg. Charging it, shipping it and recycling it happen either way.
It says roughly because it assumes your iPhone 13 replaces one that would otherwise have been built. Apple's 64 kg is for the 128GB model as published in September 2021, and a larger size carries a larger footprint.
For a sense of scale, that is the same quantity of CO2e as driving about 190 miles in an average car.
Apple, Product Environmental Report: iPhone 13, September 2021. Mileage at 0.26915 kg CO2e per mile, UK Government conversion factors 2025.
Questions people ask before selling
What is an iPhone 13 worth right now?
Size and condition, in that order. The sizes do not price the same on this model, so look yours up in Settings, General, About rather than guessing. Then condition, where the glass and the picture count separately: cracked glass with a perfect picture underneath is our middle grade (Picture fine), a faulty picture is our bottom grade, and battery health below 80 per cent goes in the middle grade too. The calculator on this page prices your exact combination, and once you order that price holds for 10 days.
What does my iPhone 13 need to do for you to buy it?
It has to switch on, charge, and work. Under 80% battery is priced as Picture fine. Works fine: no cracks, everything works, battery 80% or above. Picture fine: LCD is good, front or back glass can be smashed, and Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Picture faulty: bad LCD, or an aftermarket screen, with the same faults allowed.
What counts as Works fine for an iPhone 13?
Everything works, nothing is cracked and the battery reads 80 per cent or more. Your size's full price is at the head of this page.
What counts as Picture fine for an iPhone 13?
Cracked glass on the front or a cracked back is fine as long as the original LCD shows a clean image; so is a battery under 80 per cent on a phone with no cracks. Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can also be broken.
What counts as Picture faulty for an iPhone 13?
A bad LCD (lines, blotches, blank patches, touch that does not respond) or an aftermarket replacement screen. Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken too. It is the lowest of the three figures above.
My iPhone 13 has a cracked screen. Do I get next to nothing for it?
You will not, as long as the picture underneath is perfect and it is still the original screen. The glass and the picture are graded separately: cracked glass on its own is "picture fine", because the picture is what that word means to us, and a cracked iPhone 13 sits in our middle grade, not the scrap pile. The lower grade is for the picture itself being faulty, lines, blotches, blank patches, or a screen that ignores your finger, and for a non original replacement screen. A cracked back is graded exactly like a cracked front, so it does not drop you down either.
Does low battery health matter on an iPhone 13?
The 80 per cent line in Settings, Battery is the thing to look at first. Above it, a crack free iPhone 13 is Working grade. Below it the phone counts as Picture fine, which is a real price rather than a refusal, and the quote shows you that number before you post anything.
Can I sell an iPhone 13 that is locked to a network?
Yes. Phones bought on contract before December 2021 are often still locked years later, and we buy them: a fixed amount, shown in pounds before you commit to anything, comes off the quote, which is what a locked phone costs us to deal with. You can keep that money, because the unlock is free from your own network: ask them, and it is usually done within a day or two. It has to be you who asks, as the account holder, which is why we cannot do it for you. Unlock it before you post the phone, answer unlocked, and the full price is yours. From the iPhone 13 onwards handsets are nearly always sold unlocked, so this is mostly a question for phones the age of the iPhone 13.
Do I need to switch off Find My before selling my iPhone 13?
It has to come off, because Find My is Apple's Activation Lock and nobody can wipe or resell a phone that still has it switched on. Do it in Settings before you post the iPhone 13, or sign in at iCloud.com and remove the device afterwards. A phone that arrives locked is held for 14 days to give you time to sort it.
What if my iPhone 13 will not turn on?
No. We cannot check what is wrong with an iPhone 13 that will not power on, or erase it to a standard we can certify, so any price would be a guess we had to take back later. Your council's recycling centre and any Apple store take it free, which is the right home for a phone nobody can price.
How fast will I be paid for my iPhone 13, and can the offer drop?
We inspect within one working day of the phone arriving and pay by bank transfer within 48 hours of it arriving. If your iPhone 13 does not match your answers, we do not quietly cut the payment. You get a revised offer with the reason, and you can accept it or have the phone returned free of charge.
If you are still weighing it up
Three things people ask before selling a iPhone 13, answered properly rather than in a sentence.
- How to check your iPhone storage size Open Settings, General, About and read the Capacity line. That is your storage size: 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. It takes ten seconds.
- Can I sell a water damaged iPhone in the UK? Yes, if it still powers on. How ReMint grades and buys iPhones that have been in water, and what to do first.
- How to get your phone ready to send Five minutes of prep: back up, sign out, wipe. Here is the order that avoids headaches.
