Sell your iPhone 12 mini,
broken or not.
On 6 October 2026 ReMint pays £19 for a working iPhone 12 mini 64GB, £18 if the glass is cracked and the picture is fine, and £5 if the picture is faulty. Price locked for 10 days. Bank transfer within 48 hours of arrival, Monday to Friday. Free return if you refuse a revised offer.
Prices updated 6 October 2026.
iPhone 12 mini 64GB, Face ID failed, picture perfect: £18 against £19 working, 6 October 2026.
If your iPhone 12 mini is smashed, the screen underneath decides: a good one is Picture fine, a bad LCD or a replacement screen is Picture faulty. A cracked back, cracked glass or Face ID not working is allowed in either. It must switch on and charge; one that won't charge we cannot take.
The iPhone 12 mini went on sale in November 2020 with a 5.4 inch OLED screen, which makes it about 6 years old. Most sites have stopped looking properly at a phone this age, and at a broken one they barely look at all. We still do. Get your price in a minute and post it free.

Battery health 80% or more?
Settings, Battery, Battery Health. Ten seconds. Under 80 counts as Picture fine. Not sure is fine, we test it here.
- Paid by bank transfer within 48 hours of it arriving, Monday to Friday
- Post it today at any Post Office, no pack needed
- Price locked for 10 days once you order
- Change your mind after our check? We send it back free

Not sure which one is yours? Picture fine means the picture is perfect however the glass looks. Picture faulty means the display itself is faulty or has been replaced. Hidden faults, battery to Face ID, are accepted in both. Our three grades, explained properly.

What we know about the iPhone 12 mini
One of only two mini iPhones Apple ever made, which is why there are not many of them about.
The battery. The 12 mini has the smallest battery of any iPhone of its era, and a small battery does more full charge cycles per year than a big one, so it ages faster in real use than the calendar suggests.
Is this the phone you have?
5.4 inches, flat sides, and two rear cameras stacked one directly above the other. The 13 mini is the same size but its two lenses sit diagonally. That angle is the whole visible difference between the two.
If the screen has gone
The iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4 inch Super Retina XDR OLED. On a screen this size the panel is a smaller share of what the phone is worth, so a crack costs you less here than you may be bracing for.
With the picture still good, a cracked one runs 64 GB £18, 128 GB £18 and 256 GB £18. If the display itself is damaged rather than the glass over it, a 64 GB is £5.
With the picture gone a 64 GB keeps 26 per cent of that, less than most of the phones we buy. What a broken iPhone 12 mini is worth takes it size by size.
Exact price for your size
This model came in 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. Nothing changes between them but capacity: the same 5.4 inch screen, the same cameras and the same battery in all three.
Working, this model runs 64 GB £19, 128 GB £19 and 256 GB £19. At 64 GB, the iPhone SE (2020) pays £11 less and the iPhone 12 pays £25 more.
Why sell your iPhone 12 mini to ReMint?
An iPhone 12 mini is worth more to somebody who repairs phones than to anybody who melts them down, and that is not an insult to it. Panels, batteries and cameras from this generation are still wanted, because plenty of these are still in daily use.
Free tracked postage, checked within a working day, paid within 48 hours of it arriving, erased to recognised standards with the record kept.
Making a phone is where the damage is. Not using it. Which is why the greenest phone is one that already exists.
Selling this phone keeps roughly 54 kg of CO2e worth of manufacturing in use.
Where this figure comes from
Apple publishes a lifecycle footprint of 64 kg CO2e for a 64GB iPhone 12 mini, from mining the materials to recycling the phone. Apple states 85 per cent production. That share of 64 kg is 54 kg.
Keeping a working iPhone 12 mini going displaces the manufacture of a new one, so we quote the 54 kg rather than the whole 64 kg. Charging it, shipping it and recycling it happen either way.
It says roughly because it assumes your iPhone 12 mini replaces one that would otherwise have been built. Apple's 64 kg is for the 64GB model as published in October 2020, and a larger size carries a larger footprint.
For a sense of scale, that is the same quantity of CO2e as driving about 200 miles in an average car.
Apple, Product Environmental Report: iPhone 12 mini, October 2020. Mileage at 0.26915 kg CO2e per mile, UK Government conversion factors 2025.
Questions people ask before selling
What is an iPhone 12 mini worth right now?
Condition rather than size: on this model the sizes currently price the same. Cracked glass or battery health below 80 per cent puts a phone in our middle grade, and a faulty display puts it in the bottom one. The quote on this page gives you the figure, and it is locked for 10 days once you order.
What does my iPhone 12 mini need to do for you to buy it?
It has to switch on, charge, and work. Under 80% battery is priced as Picture fine. Works fine: no cracks, everything works, battery 80% or above. Picture fine: LCD is good, front or back glass can be smashed, and Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Picture faulty: bad LCD, or an aftermarket screen, with the same faults allowed.
What counts as Works fine for an iPhone 12 mini?
An iPhone 12 mini with whole glass, nothing wrong and a battery of at least 80 per cent. It earns the top figure above.
What counts as Picture fine for an iPhone 12 mini?
The LCD is good: original screen, perfect picture, and the front or back glass can be smashed. A crack free phone with a battery under 80 per cent is priced here too. Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Its price is the middle figure above.
What counts as Picture faulty for an iPhone 12 mini?
Lines, bleeding, dead patches or ghost touch on the display, or a non original screen fitted. The phone must switch on and charge; a phone that will not is covered below.
My iPhone 12 mini has a cracked screen. Do I get next to nothing for it?
Quite the opposite: a cracked iPhone 12 mini with a working picture is the exact phone this business was built to buy. Think of the glass and the picture as two separate things. Broken glass over a perfect picture is what we call "picture fine", which sounds odd until you know that screen there means the picture, not the glass. It is our middle grade rather than our bottom one. The bottom grade is for a display with a fault of its own, lines, blotches, blank patches, or touch that ignores your finger, and for a screen already swapped for a non original one. A cracked back sits in the same grade as a cracked front, and both figures are on the quote above.
Does low battery health matter on an iPhone 12 mini?
Less than you might fear. An iPhone 12 mini still on its original battery is likely to be under 80 per cent health by now, and that alone does not stop us buying it. Below 80 per cent the phone counts as Picture fine rather than Working, and you see exactly what that pays before you post anything.
Can I sell an iPhone 12 mini that is locked to a network?
Yes. Phones bought on contract before December 2021 are often still locked years later, and we buy them: a fixed amount, shown in pounds before you commit to anything, comes off the quote, which is what a locked phone costs us to deal with. You can keep that money, because the unlock is free from your own network: ask them, and it is usually done within a day or two. It has to be you who asks, as the account holder, which is why we cannot do it for you. Unlock it before you post the phone, answer unlocked, and the full price is yours. From the iPhone 13 onwards handsets are nearly always sold unlocked, so this is mostly a question for phones the age of the iPhone 12 mini.
Do I need to switch off Find My before selling my iPhone 12 mini?
Find My must be switched off before we can buy the iPhone 12 mini: it is Apple's Activation Lock, and a locked phone cannot be erased to standard or sold on. Settings does it while the phone is with you, and iCloud.com does it once it is posted. Arrive locked and we hold the phone for 14 days so you have the chance to remove it.
What if my iPhone 12 mini will not turn on?
No price on that one, because with an iPhone 12 mini that will not switch on we cannot verify what is wrong or erase it to standard. Rather than guess at a number we say so. Apple stores and council recycling centres both take it free, and neither will try to sell you anything.
How fast will I be paid for my iPhone 12 mini, and can the offer drop?
Inspection happens within one working day of arrival, and the money follows by bank transfer within 48 hours of the phone arriving. If the iPhone 12 mini in front of us does not match what you told us, the price does not just shrink: we send a revised offer with an explanation, and you choose between taking it and having the phone back free.
If you are still weighing it up
Three things people ask before selling a iPhone 12 mini, answered properly rather than in a sentence.
- How to check your iPhone storage size Open Settings, General, About and read the Capacity line. That is your storage size: 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. It takes ten seconds.
- Selling an iPhone with Face ID not working: yes, and here is how ReMint buys iPhones with broken Face ID. Grade it as picture fine, sign out of iCloud by passcode, post it free.
- What happens to your data when you sell your phone The two erasures your data goes through, and why neither of them is optional.
