Not sure which one is yours? Picture fine means the picture is perfect however the glass looks. Picture faulty means the display itself is faulty or has been replaced. Hidden faults, battery to Face ID, are accepted in both. Our three grades, explained properly.
Is the 512 GB worth checking?
Working, the 128 GB pays £18 less and the 256 GB pays £5 less. At the same capacity, the iPhone 14 Plus pays £5 less.
Smash the glass on a 512 GB and keep the picture, and it still pays £127; lose the picture or fit a replacement screen and it is £86. The glass is worth £10 at this size.
The same 512 GB in the models either side: iPhone 14 Plus 512 GB.
If Settings, General, About shows a Capacity other than 512 GB, use one of these instead: 128 GB, 256 GB.
Half a terabyte of phone
Even after iOS helps itself you keep roughly 490 GB, and the arithmetic turns absurd: two full days of continuous 4K at 170 MB a minute, or around 160,000 photos, or getting on for five thousand downloaded albums. Nobody fills this by accident.
Which tells you who owns one. A 512 GB phone belongs to somebody who films, records, archives or simply never deletes, and if that is you, the backup before the wipe is the one part of selling worth planning. Copying half a terabyte of originals off a phone can take the better part of a day over Wi-Fi, so a cable to a computer is the kinder route. Before you assume the worst, check the iPhone Storage screen in Settings: it shows exactly how much of the half terabyte you actually used, and the answer is often less frightening than the capacity suggests.
Top of the ladder
£5 separates this page from the 256 GB at Working grade, and there is nothing above it on this model. The premium is real but finite. Apple has typically asked around two hundred pounds for this step when its phones were new; the used market keeps part of that because big configurations are scarce, and hands the rest back because scarcity only pays when a buyer genuinely needs the room.
A rarer phone can wait a little longer for its buyer, which we plan for rather than punish. The figure above is the offer, not an opening position, and it holds for the same ten days as every other size on the site.
The rare one
The dearest configuration of any phone sells in the smallest numbers, and on the iPhone 14 that is the 512 GB. Scarcity mostly works for you here: when one does reach the used market it faces little competition, which is why the biggest number on this model lives on this page. The trade off sits at our end, in patience, and the price already accounts for it. Scarce cuts the other way if you plan to replace it like for like, mind: the used market will not be brimming with half terabyte options either. Above it there is nothing. No iPhone 14 was made bigger than 512 GB, so a listing offering one is describing a different phone.
The iPhone 14 in one paragraph
Apple redesigned the inside of the 14 so the back glass comes off on its own. On every iPhone before it a cracked back meant replacing the whole chassis, so a 14 with a smashed back is a much cheaper phone to bring back than a 13 with the same damage.
Worth knowing before you send it
There is no systematic fault on the 14, and we would rather say so than invent one. One thing does catch people out: iPhone 14s sold in America have no SIM tray at all, because Apple made them eSIM only there. If yours came from the States and you cannot find the slot, nothing has broken.

The 512 GB question
What is an iPhone 14 512 GB worth right now?
The size half of it is settled by the page you are on: the 512 GB is the top rung of this model's ladder, and nothing on this phone pays more. Condition does the rest, and we judge the glass and the picture apart from each other: cracked glass, or battery health below 80 per cent, is our middle grade, and a fault in the picture itself is the bottom one. The three figures at the top of this page are all for the 512 GB, and whichever one you order at holds for 10 days.
Cracked screens, battery health, Find My and how fast you are paid are answered on the iPhone 14 page.
