£201 with the picture gone, 256 GB

Sell your broken
iPhone 15 Pro Max.

A 256 GB with a faulty display is £201, which is 60 per cent of what we pay for the same phone in one piece. At this end of the range the damage is one part of a phone that is otherwise worth a lot, and the offer is built that way round.

What the damage costs you

Working, a 256 GB iPhone 15 Pro Max pays £334. Glass cracked, picture still perfect: £327, so the crack costs you £7. Picture gone, meaning lines, blots, blank patches or a black screen: £201, so the display costs you £133. Cracked glass over a working picture is close to free here, which is not true at most places you could send it.

The 256 GB is the smallest this phone was sold in and these are its prices, so nothing above can catch you out. On a panel this good a fault is obvious once you look: a green or pink cast, a band that will not refresh, or a line that stays put while everything else moves. Unsure? The lower grade is the safe answer, because we revise upwards without being asked and downwards only in writing. Our three grades, explained properly.

Where the iPhone 15 Pro Max sits

That makes the iPhone 15 Pro Max a little above the middle of our range. Put the 32 models we can price broken in order and it lands with 9 above it and 20 below.

That is not one model being lucky. Sorted by price, the 32 we can price broken fall into two camps: the cheap ones average about 41 per cent kept, the ones from £120 upwards average about 57 per cent, and what separates them is what the working phone is worth rather than what its screen is made of.

The arithmetic behind it is dull and worth knowing. Fitting a panel, testing, erasing and dispatching cost about the same on any phone. An iPhone 15 Pro Max is worth enough for those fixed costs to be a modest share of it, so the damage takes a modest share of the price.

Worth knowing before you send it

The 5x camera in this one is a folded lens with moving parts in it, which is the most delicate assembly in the phone and the part worth most when the rest is broken.

Sure it is this one?

6.7 inches, titanium, USB-C, three cameras. The way to separate it from the 15 Pro without a tape measure is the camera app: this one zooms to 5x, the 15 Pro stops at 3x. The 16 Pro Max after it is larger again at 6.9 inches.

Every size, broken

Picture gone, this model runs 256 GB £201, 512 GB £211 and 1 TB £236.

Cracked with the picture good, 256 GB £327, 512 GB £351 and 1 TB £352.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max in one paragraph

The only iPhone of its year with the 5x tetraprism camera. The 15 Pro stops at 3x.

There is no 128 GB version of this phone. Apple started it at 256 GB, so if you think you have a 128 GB one, it is more likely a 15 Pro.

What happens to a broken one here

A 120 Hz panel is the exact part the big sites use as their excuse. They price a broken one as a total loss and send it on to somebody who does what we do. We fit the screen here and sell the phone from the warehouse we share with iMint, so the saving lands in your price.

The label is tracked and insured to the value of the quote, the check takes a working day, and the money follows within 48 hours of the phone arriving it.

The practical questions, erasing a phone you cannot see, posting a bad crack safely, changing your mind, are on the broken iPhone page. For the phone rather than the breakage, see the iPhone 15 Pro Max page. Still deciding? How much is my iPhone worth in 2026?.

Over £120 working they cluster near the top; under £50 they fall away.
