Sell your broken
iPhone 14 Pro.
Smashed, with the picture gone altogether, a 128 GB is worth £119 here: 60 per cent of what the same phone pays working. At this end of the range the damage is one part of a phone that is otherwise worth a lot, and the offer is built that way round.

What the damage costs you
Start at £200, which is what a perfect 128 GB fetches. Break the glass and leave the picture alone and you are at £190, down £10. Break the picture, so lines or blotches or nothing at all, and you are at £119, down £81 from where you started. Cracked glass over a working picture is close to free here, which is not true at most places you could send it.
The 128 GB is the smallest this phone was sold in and these are its prices, so nothing above can catch you out. On a panel this good a fault is obvious once you look: a green or pink cast, a band that will not refresh, or a line that stays put while everything else moves. Unsure? The lower grade is the safe answer, because we revise upwards without being asked and downwards only in writing. Our three grades, explained properly.
Where the iPhone 14 Pro sits
That makes the iPhone 14 Pro a little above the middle of our range. 9 of the 32 iPhones on this list come through damage better than that, and 20 come through it worse.
Across the 32 iPhones we buy and can price broken, the ones worth under £50 working keep about 41 per cent of that price with the picture gone, and the ones worth £120 or more keep about 57 per cent. It is the value of the phone that decides it, not the kind of screen in it.
Every phone that comes through here costs roughly the same to repair, test, erase and send back out. That is a fixed bill set against a variable phone, and an iPhone 14 Pro is valuable enough that the bill is a modest part of it. Hence the share.
Worth knowing before you send it
The back glass redesign that landed on the 14 did not reach the 14 Pro, so a cracked back here still means the whole chassis. It is the one place where the cheaper phone of that year is the easier one to repair.
Lock it and look at the screen. The always on display made its iPhone debut on this generation, refreshing as slowly as once a second so a dimmed lock screen stays visible. Lay the phone face up with Low Power Mode off: if the screen goes black instead of dim, and Always On Display is still switched on in Settings, mention it. Then the flash, which Apple rebuilt for this phone as an array of nine LEDs that change pattern to suit the lens in use; switch on the torch and see that it lights. The camera has a 2x setting cut from the middle of the main sensor and a separate 77 mm telephoto at 3x, so a fault can show on one and not the other. Flick the Ring/Silent switch too, and look for orange when it is set to silent.
Sure it is this one?
6.1 inches, three cameras, and the Dynamic Island pill instead of a notch. The 15 Pro looks much the same, so use the charging port: the 14 Pro takes a Lightning cable and has a stainless steel band, the 15 Pro takes USB-C and is titanium.
Every size, broken
Picture gone, this model runs 128 GB £119, 256 GB £141, 512 GB £141 and 1 TB £145.
Cracked with the picture good, 128 GB £190, 256 GB £200, 512 GB £208 and 1 TB £210.
The iPhone 14 Pro in one paragraph
The first phone with the Dynamic Island and the first with an always on display, which is a distinctive screen and a costly one.
What happens to a broken one here
The fast panel on an iPhone 14 Pro is expensive, and the scrap minded buyers use that as the reason to offer you almost nothing before selling it on to a workshop. We are the workshop. The repair happens here and the phone goes out from our own warehouse, which is where the difference in your offer comes from.
Postage and the pack are free whatever it turns out to be worth, it is checked within a working day, and you are paid within 48 hours of it arriving.
What to do about the data, the postage and a grade we disagree with is all on the broken iPhone page. Everything else about this phone, damage or no damage, is on the iPhone 14 Pro page. Still deciding? How to check your iPhone storage size.
