Selling a cracked or broken iPhone 17e? A cracked iPhone with a good screen is Picture fine. A broken screen, lines, blotches or a replacement display, is Picture faulty. A smashed one with a cracked back or Face ID not working can be either; a phone that won't charge is one we cannot buy.

Not sure which one is yours? Picture fine means the picture is perfect however the glass looks. Picture faulty means the display itself is faulty or has been replaced. Hidden faults, battery to Face ID, are accepted in both. Our three grades, explained properly.
Prices shown for 128 GB, the smallest size we price. A working 512 GB pays £35 more.
What we are not telling you about this one
Every other model on this site has a section here about when it came out, what its screen is and what tends to go wrong with it. The iPhone 17e does not, because nobody here has confirmed those things and we are not going to write them down from memory. The prices above are real. The rest arrives when it is checked.
Exact price for your size
We price it in 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. Which sizes it actually shipped in is one of the things we have not confirmed, so we are not going to state it here.
Working, this model runs 128 GB £198, 256 GB £224 and 512 GB £233. At 256 GB, the iPhone 16 Pro Max pays £211 more and the iPhone 17 pays £106 more.
Why sell your iPhone 17e to ReMint?
Most buyback sites treat damage as a write off and price it like scrap. We repair, harvest parts and sell direct, sharing a warehouse with iMint, our trade side, which is why our prices stay high for devices other sites round down to nothing.
Free tracked postage, checked within a working day, paid within 48 hours of it arriving, erased to recognised standards with the record kept.
Making a phone is where the damage is. Not using it. Which is why the greenest phone is one that already exists.
Selling this phone keeps roughly 35 kg of CO2e worth of manufacturing in use.
Where this figure comes from
Apple publishes a lifecycle footprint of 47 kg CO2e for a 256GB iPhone 17e, from mining the materials to recycling the phone. Apple splits production in two: manufacturing electricity at 48 per cent and materials and process emissions at 27 per cent, which add to 75 per cent. That share of 47 kg is 35 kg.
Keeping a working iPhone 17e going displaces the manufacture of a new one, so we quote the 35 kg rather than the whole 47 kg. Charging it, shipping it and recycling it happen either way.
It says roughly because it assumes your iPhone 17e replaces one that would otherwise have been built. Apple's 47 kg is for the 256GB model as published in March 2026, and a larger size carries a larger footprint.
For a sense of scale, that is the same quantity of CO2e as driving about 130 miles in an average car.
Apple, Product Environmental Report: iPhone 17e, March 2026. Mileage at 0.26915 kg CO2e per mile, UK Government conversion factors 2025.
Questions people ask before selling
What is an iPhone 17e worth right now?
The quote above answers it exactly, and two things move the number. Size counts here, so check yours in Settings, General, About. Then condition, and the glass and the picture count separately: cracked glass with a good picture underneath is our middle grade, and a fault in the picture itself is the bottom one. Ordering locks your price for 10 days.
What does my iPhone 17e need to do for you to buy it?
It has to switch on, charge, and work. Under 80% battery is priced as Picture fine. Works fine: no cracks, everything works, battery 80% or above. Picture fine: LCD is good, front or back glass can be smashed, and Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Picture faulty: bad LCD, or an aftermarket screen, with the same faults allowed.
What counts as Works fine for an iPhone 17e?
No cracks front or back, everything works, battery health 80 per cent or above. That is the full price for your size, shown at the top of this page.
What counts as Picture fine for an iPhone 17e?
The LCD is good: original screen, perfect picture, and the front or back glass can be smashed. A crack free phone with a battery under 80 per cent is priced here too. Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Its price is the middle figure above.
What counts as Picture faulty for an iPhone 17e?
The picture itself is wrong on this iPhone 17e, or the screen is not original; Face ID, a camera or a button can be broken as well. That is our bottom grade, and it still pays real money because the rest of the phone keeps its value.
My iPhone 17e has a cracked screen. Do I get next to nothing for it?
No, and this is the thing we do differently. Your phone has two layers: the glass on top, and the picture underneath it. If the glass is cracked but the picture is still perfect, we call that "picture fine", because the part that shows you things is fine. That is our middle grade, not our bottom one, and a cracked iPhone 17e with a perfect picture prices there. The bottom grade is for a fault in the picture itself: lines, blotches, blank patches, touch that does not respond, or a screen somebody has already replaced with a non original part. A cracked back counts the same as a cracked front. The quote on this page prices every grade.
Does low battery health matter on an iPhone 17e?
It decides the grade, so check Settings, Battery before you answer the quote questions. At 80 per cent or above, with no cracks or faults, your iPhone 17e is Working grade. Below 80 per cent it counts as Picture fine, which is a real price rather than a penalty, and the number is on your screen before you post the phone.
Can I sell an iPhone 17e that is locked to a network?
Yes, we buy network locked phones: a fixed amount, shown in pounds before you commit to anything, comes off the quote, which is what a locked phone costs us to deal with. Most people never see that deduction, because phones from the iPhone 13 onwards are nearly always sold unlocked. If yours is locked, the free route is better: your network unlocks it at no charge when you ask, usually within a day or two, and only you can ask, as the account holder. Do that before you post the iPhone 17e, answer unlocked, and the full price is yours.
Do I need to switch off Find My before selling my iPhone 17e?
It has to come off, because Find My is Apple's Activation Lock and nobody can wipe or resell a phone that still has it switched on. Do it in Settings before you post the iPhone 17e, or sign in at iCloud.com and remove the device afterwards. A phone that arrives locked is held for 14 days to give you time to sort it.
What if my iPhone 17e will not turn on?
We do not quote for one, for a reason we would rather say plainly: a phone that will not power on cannot be tested, and it cannot be verifiably erased, which means it would leave here carrying your data. Your council's recycling centre or an Apple store will take it, both free of charge.
How fast will I be paid for my iPhone 17e, and can the offer drop?
We check the iPhone 17e within one working day of it arriving and pay by bank transfer within 48 hours of it arriving. If the phone does not match your answers, you get a revised offer and the reason for it, never a silent deduction. Turn the revised offer down and the phone comes back to you free.
If you are still weighing it up
Three things people ask before selling a iPhone 17e, answered properly rather than in a sentence.
- How to check your iPhone storage size Open Settings, General, About and read the Capacity line. That is your storage size: 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. It takes ten seconds.
- What happens to your data when you sell your phone The two erasures your data goes through, and why neither of them is optional.
- How to get your phone ready to send Five minutes of prep: back up, sign out, wipe. Here is the order that avoids headaches.
