Sell your iPhone Air,
broken or not.
On 6 October 2026 ReMint pays £351 for a working iPhone Air 256GB, £183 if the glass is cracked and the picture is fine, and £151 if the picture is faulty. Price locked for 10 days. Bank transfer within 48 hours of arrival, Monday to Friday. Free return if you refuse a revised offer.
Prices updated 6 October 2026.
iPhone Air 256GB, Face ID failed, picture perfect: £183 against £351 working, 6 October 2026.
A cracked or broken iPhone Air still sells. Cracked glass over a good screen is Picture fine; a bad LCD, with lines or blotches, or a replacement screen is Picture faulty. Face ID not working or a cracked back is allowed in both, though it has to switch on, and a iPhone Air that won't charge cannot be bought.
The iPhone Air went on sale in September 2025 with a 6.5 inch OLED screen, which makes it about a year old. On a phone this new the details set the price, so we ask about them before you post it rather than after it lands. Get your price in a minute and post it free.

Storage
Battery health 80% or more?
Settings, Battery, Battery Health. Ten seconds. Under 80 counts as Picture fine. Not sure is fine, we test it here.

- Post it today at any Post Office, no pack needed
- Price locked for 10 days once you order

Not sure which one is yours? Picture fine means the picture is perfect however the glass looks. Picture faulty means the display itself is faulty or has been replaced. Hidden faults, battery to Face ID, are accepted in both. Our three grades, explained properly.
Prices shown for 256 GB, the smallest this model came in. A working 1 TB pays £40 more.
What we know about the iPhone Air
The thinnest iPhone Apple has made, with a single rear camera. It is not a Pro and it is not a base model, which is why it sits on its own in the list.
It is eSIM only. There is no SIM tray on it at all, which is not a fault and is worth knowing before you look for one.
Is this the phone you have?
The thinnest iPhone Apple has made, 6.5 inches, with one rear camera. Nothing else in the range is close on thickness, so if you have held one you know. There is no SIM tray anywhere on it, on any Air, sold anywhere.
If the screen has gone
The iPhone Air has a 6.5 inch Super Retina XDR panel running at 120 Hz. A big panel and a fast one is the dearest combination there is, which is why a site pricing damage as scrap quotes almost nothing for a broken one.
With the picture still good, a cracked one runs 256 GB £183, 512 GB £183 and 1 TB £370. If the display itself is damaged rather than the glass over it, a 256 GB is £151.
With the picture gone a 256 GB keeps 43 per cent of that, a little below the middle of our range. What a broken iPhone Air is worth takes it size by size.
Exact price for your size
This model came in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. Nothing changes between them but capacity: the same 6.5 inch screen, the same cameras and the same battery in all three.
Working, this model runs 256 GB £351, 512 GB £381 and 1 TB £391. At 256 GB, the iPhone 17 pays £21 less and the iPhone 17 Pro pays £172 more.
Why sell your iPhone Air to ReMint?
An iPhone Air sits near the top of what we buy, and the resale value on one is high enough that we can pay properly even with the screen in pieces.
Free tracked postage, checked within a working day, paid within 48 hours of it arriving, erased to recognised standards with the record kept.
Making a phone is where the damage is. Not using it. Which is why the greenest phone is one that already exists.
Selling this phone keeps roughly 42 kg of CO2e worth of manufacturing in use.
Where this figure comes from
Apple publishes a lifecycle footprint of 55 kg CO2e for a 256GB iPhone Air, from mining the materials to recycling the phone. Apple splits production in two: manufacturing electricity at 54 per cent and materials and process emissions at 22 per cent, which add to 76 per cent. That share of 55 kg is 42 kg.
Keeping a working iPhone Air going displaces the manufacture of a new one, so we quote the 42 kg rather than the whole 55 kg. Charging it, shipping it and recycling it happen either way.
It says roughly because it assumes your iPhone Air replaces one that would otherwise have been built. Apple's 55 kg is for the 256GB model as published in September 2025, and a larger size carries a larger footprint.
For a sense of scale, that is the same quantity of CO2e as driving about 160 miles in an average car.
Apple, Product Environmental Report: iPhone Air, September 2025. Mileage at 0.26915 kg CO2e per mile, UK Government conversion factors 2025.
Questions people ask before selling
What is an iPhone Air worth right now?
Two things move it, and the quote on this page settles both in under a minute. Storage size matters on this model, so check yours in Settings, General, About before you answer. Condition does the rest: cracked glass or battery health below 80 per cent puts the phone in our middle grade, and a display with a fault of its own puts it in the bottom one. Whatever the quote comes to is locked for 10 days once you order.
What does my iPhone Air need to do for you to buy it?
It has to switch on, charge, and work. Under 80% battery is priced as Picture fine. Works fine: no cracks, everything works, battery 80% or above. Picture fine: LCD is good, front or back glass can be smashed, and Face ID, a camera, sound or a button can be broken. Picture faulty: bad LCD, or an aftermarket screen, with the same faults allowed.
What counts as Works fine for an iPhone Air?
An iPhone Air with whole glass, nothing wrong and a battery of at least 80 per cent. It earns the top figure above.
What counts as Picture fine for an iPhone Air?
A smashed iPhone Air with a good LCD, the original screen and a perfect picture, or a crack free one whose battery is under 80 per cent. Face ID, a camera, a speaker or a button can be broken. It usually keeps most of the working price.
What counts as Picture faulty for an iPhone Air?
Lines, bleeding, dead patches or ghost touch on the display, or a non original screen fitted. The phone must switch on and charge; a phone that will not is covered below.
My iPhone Air has a cracked screen. Do I get next to nothing for it?
You will not, as long as the picture underneath is perfect and it is still the original screen. The glass and the picture are graded separately: cracked glass on its own is "picture fine", because the picture is what that word means to us, and a cracked iPhone Air sits in our middle grade, not the scrap pile. The lower grade is for the picture itself being faulty, lines, blotches, blank patches, or a screen that ignores your finger, and for a non original replacement screen. A cracked back is graded exactly like a cracked front, so it does not drop you down either.
Does low battery health matter on an iPhone Air?
Only at the 80 per cent line, and a phone as recent as the iPhone Air is usually still above it. Have a look in Settings, Battery before you choose a grade: at 80 per cent or better, with no cracks or faults, it is Working. Below that it counts as Picture fine, and the quote shows you the difference before you commit to anything.
Can I sell an iPhone Air that is locked to a network?
You can: we buy network locked phones. Check the lock is really there first though, because it probably is not: selling locked handsets has been banned in the UK since December 2021, so phones from the iPhone 13 onwards, your iPhone Air included, are nearly always unlocked already. If yours is locked, a fixed amount, shown in pounds before you commit to anything, comes off the quote. Or keep the whole price: ask your network to unlock it before you post it, which is free, usually done within a day or two, and something only the account holder can do, so we cannot do it for you. Not sure is still an honest answer in the quote flow; nothing comes off for it, and if the phone turns out to be locked we tell you before anything else happens.
Do I need to switch off Find My before selling my iPhone Air?
Find My must be switched off before we can buy the iPhone Air: it is Apple's Activation Lock, and a locked phone cannot be erased to standard or sold on. Settings does it while the phone is with you, and iCloud.com does it once it is posted. Arrive locked and we hold the phone for 14 days so you have the chance to remove it.
What if my iPhone Air will not turn on?
No price on that one, because with an iPhone Air that will not switch on we cannot verify what is wrong or erase it to standard. Rather than guess at a number we say so. Apple stores and council recycling centres both take it free, and neither will try to sell you anything.
How fast will I be paid for my iPhone Air, and can the offer drop?
We check the iPhone Air within one working day of it arriving and pay by bank transfer within 48 hours of it arriving. If the phone does not match your answers, you get a revised offer and the reason for it, never a silent deduction. Turn the revised offer down and the phone comes back to you free.
If you are still weighing it up
Three things people ask before selling a iPhone Air, answered properly rather than in a sentence.
- How to check your iPhone storage size Open Settings, General, About and read the Capacity line. That is your storage size: 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. It takes ten seconds.
- Trade in or sell? What Apple and the networks do not mention Trade-in is convenient. It is also usually the lowest offer in the room. Here is the honest comparison.
- Our three grades, explained properly Working, picture fine, picture faulty. Which one is yours, and why the difference is all about the display.
