Sell your iPhone Air
256 GB.
The 256 GB is the smallest iPhone Air Apple sold, so this is the bottom of the range for this phone. Every larger size is worth more. All three prices below are for the 256 GB and confirmed before you post anything.

Not sure which one is yours? Picture fine means the picture is perfect however the glass looks. Picture faulty means the display itself is faulty or has been replaced. Hidden faults, battery to Face ID, are accepted in both. Our three grades, explained properly.
Is the 256 GB worth checking?
Working, the 512 GB pays £30 more and the 1 TB pays £40 more. At the same capacity, the iPhone 17 pays £21 less and the iPhone 17 Pro pays £172 more.
With cracked glass and a good picture the same 256 GB is £183, and with a bad LCD or a replacement screen it is £151, so the cracked glass costs you £168 at this size rather than the whole value of the phone.
The same 256 GB in the models either side: iPhone 17 256 GB, iPhone 17 Pro 256 GB.
If Settings, General, About shows a Capacity other than 256 GB, use one of these instead: 512 GB, 1 TB.
256 GB, translated into things you own
After the operating system takes its cut you are looking at roughly 230 GB of usable room. Filling that takes commitment: about 22 hours of 4K footage at Apple's estimated 170 MB a minute, or a photo library well past seventy thousand pictures. Apps stop being part of the sum altogether, since even a heavy handful of games disappears into headroom like this. Plenty of 256 GB phones go their whole first life without coming near the ceiling.
Where the size does bite is on sending day. If yours actually is loaded, budget hours rather than minutes for the backup: a couple of hundred gigabytes over home Wi-Fi is a slow crawl, so set it going when the postage pack arrives rather than when you want to head to the post office.
From here the iPhone Air only goes up
There is no cheaper size of this phone, so 256 GB is its baseline and the 512 GB sits £30 above it at Working grade. As a share of what the phone is worth, that step is far smaller than the one Apple charged when it was new, typically two hundred pounds at this end of the range, because a used buyer prices the phone first and the headroom second.
It also means the figure on this page is not a consolation number. It is the model's floor, with every other configuration priced up from exactly here.
The floor of the range, not a compromise
Apple started the iPhone Air at 256 GB, and entry sizes dominate what gets bought, so they dominate what comes back around to us. For you that is good news twice over: the market for this configuration is the deepest, and it is the version we can move on quickest, which shows up in how firmly we can price it. If you were bracing for a penalty for owning the smallest size, there is none to brace for. This is simply where this model's pricing begins.
Worth knowing before you send it
It is eSIM only. There is no SIM tray on it at all, which is not a fault and is worth knowing before you look for one.
Is this the iPhone Air you have?
The thinnest iPhone Apple has made, 6.5 inches, with one rear camera. Nothing else in the range is close on thickness, so if you have held one you know. There is no SIM tray anywhere on it, on any Air, sold anywhere.
iPhone Air prices by size

£351 is locked for 10 days. Postage and the postage pack are free, and a phone that does not match its grade gets a revised offer you can turn down.

The 256 GB question
What is an iPhone Air 256 GB worth right now?
The size half of it is settled by the page you are on: the 256 GB is the bottom rung of this model's ladder, and every larger size pays more. What is left is condition, and the three prices at the top of this page have already worked it out for the 256 GB: sound and working at the top, cracked glass with a good picture underneath in the middle, and a display with a fault of its own at the bottom. A battery under 80 per cent belongs in that middle one as well. Ordering holds your figure for 10 days.
Cracked screens, battery health, Find My and how fast you are paid are answered on the iPhone Air page.
