Put another way: cracked glass over a perfect picture costs a Galaxy S26+ little, while lines, burn-in or a black screen leave it about half of what a working 256 GB pays.

About the Galaxy S26+

If yours says Galaxy S26+ in About phone, it is the larger of the two non Ultra S26 phones. The extra screen size buys only a few pounds over the standard model on today's list, and at some sizes none at all.

The S26 range is this year's, so a Galaxy S26+ is about as new as a Galaxy gets. New phones lose the most value in their first year, which makes now the dearest moment to leave one sitting in a drawer with a broken screen.

Sure it is this one?

Open Settings, then About phone. The name is at the top and the model number under it. Storage is under Settings, Battery and device care, Storage. If the name does not say Galaxy S26+, find yours on the Galaxy list.

Questions about selling your Galaxy S26+

Do you buy a Galaxy S26+ with screen burn-in?

Yes. Burn-in is a faint image of the keyboard, the navigation bar or the clock that stays on screen whatever you open. On an AMOLED screen it cannot be fixed without a new panel, so we price it as Screen broken: up to £170 for a 512 GB, as long as it switches on.

Do I need to remove my Google account?

Before it goes in the post, yes: Find My Mobile off, then the Google and Samsung accounts removed. A phone that arrives still signed in is locked by Factory Reset Protection after a wipe, and a locked phone is the one thing we cannot pay for.

My fingerprint reader stopped working after the crack. Which grade?

It depends on the picture, not the reader. Good picture, dead fingerprint: Not perfect, screen works. Lines or burn-in as well: Screen broken.

The screen was replaced. Does that matter?

An original screen, or a genuine Samsung Service Pack replacement, counts as original. An aftermarket or OLED copy screen, however good it looks, is priced as Screen broken. Samsung shows no message for a replaced screen, so we check it on arrival: if it is not original we send a revised offer you can accept, or we post the phone back free.

How fast do I get paid?

Within two working days of it reaching us, straight to your bank. The quote holds for ten days from your order, and a phone that tests differently gets a revised offer you can turn down for a free return.
