A 512 GB Galaxy S26 with a cracked screen that still shows a perfect picture is £256. With lines, burn-in or a black screen it is £152. A smashed screen takes less off than most people expect: it has to switch on, and that is about it.

Condition

What counts as Screen broken

  • Lines, blots, burn-in, dead pixels, a green or pink tint, or a black screen
  • Touch that does not respond, or works only in places
  • An aftermarket or OLED copy replacement screen
  • Smashed glass, cameras, fingerprint or buttons broken too
  • Any battery health
  • Will not switch on or charge: we cannot buy it
  • A swollen battery: not safe to post

Our bench checks every phone against the grade you chose. If it does not match, you get a revised price to accept or decline, with a free return either way.

Storage

  • Paid by bank transfer within 48 hours of it arriving, Monday to Friday
  • Post it today at any Post Office: any box, no printer, no pack
  • Say no to a revised offer and it comes back free
  • Excellent on Trustpilot, read the reviews

The picture decides the grade: cracked glass over a perfect picture is Not perfect, screen works; lines, burn-in, dead pixels, a tint, touch faults, a black screen or an aftermarket screen is Screen broken. Hidden faults, battery to fingerprint, are accepted in both.

Put another way: cracked glass over a perfect picture costs a Galaxy S26 little, while lines, burn-in or a black screen leave it about half of what a working 512 GB pays.

Where the Galaxy S26 sits

The plain Galaxy S26, no + and no Ultra, is the entry to the S26 range. Entry does not mean worthless: cracked glass or a dead picture, it still pays real money here as long as it switches on.

The S26 range is this year's, so a Galaxy S26 is about as new as a Galaxy gets. New phones lose the most value in their first year, which makes now the dearest moment to leave one sitting in a drawer with a broken screen.

Sure it is this one?

Open Settings, then About phone. The name is at the top and the model number under it. Storage is under Settings, Battery and device care, Storage. If the name does not say Galaxy S26, find yours on the Galaxy list.

Screen broken on a Galaxy: what counts

Lines, blots, dead pixels, a green or pink tint, touch that does not respond, a black screen that still rings, burn-in (a ghost of the keyboard, navigation bar or clock that stays on screen), or an aftermarket or OLED copy screen. All of them are Screen broken, up to £152 for a 512 GB. An original screen, or a genuine Samsung Service Pack replacement, counts as original, and cracked glass over a perfect picture is the better grade, Not perfect, screen works. Samsung shows no message for a replaced screen, so we check it on arrival: if it is not original we send a revised offer you can accept, or we post the phone back free. It has to switch on and charge, and it must not be blacklisted or still signed in to a Google or Samsung account.

Questions about selling a broken Galaxy S26

Do you buy a Galaxy S26 with screen burn-in?

Yes, and it is one of the commonest faults on an older Galaxy. A ghost of the navigation bar or keyboard that never goes away counts as Screen broken, which pays up to £152 for a 512 GB that still switches on.

Do I need to remove my Google account?

Yes. Turn off Find My Mobile and remove your Google and Samsung accounts before you post it. A Galaxy still linked to a Google account locks itself after a reset (Factory Reset Protection), so we cannot test or wipe it, and we would have to send it back. With a broken screen you can remove the phone from your Google account on a computer.

My fingerprint reader stopped working after the crack. Which grade?

If the picture is still perfect, Not perfect, screen works. A fingerprint reader or face unlock that has stopped working is a fault, but it says nothing about the screen, so it is not Screen broken.

The screen was replaced. Does that matter?

Only if it is not genuine. A Samsung Service Pack screen counts as original; an aftermarket or OLED copy is Screen broken. There is no warning in Settings to check, so we look at it on arrival and, if it is a copy, offer you the revised price or the phone back free.

How fast do I get paid?

Within two working days of it reaching us, straight to your bank. The quote holds for ten days from your order, and a phone that tests differently gets a revised offer you can turn down for a free return.
