Broken iPhone buyback prices compared: UK sites, September 2026

On 21 September 2026, the highest published price for a damaged iPhone 13 128GB among the seven UK buyback sites we checked was £101 at We Buy Tek, and you can see what ReMint pays for the same phone, in all three of its grades, on the model page linked below. The lowest published price that same day was £32 at musicMagpie. Every site on this page, ReMint included, changes its prices often, so treat each figure here as a snapshot of one day and check the live price on the day you sell.

Here is what each site published on 21 September 2026 for an iPhone 13 128GB in its own damaged tier: musicMagpie, Poor, £32; Sell Techs, Broken, £35; Gadget GoGo, Not Working, £44.07; Mazuma, Broken, £50; Phones.co.uk, Broken, £60; Envirofone, Faulty, £80; We Buy Tek, Broken, £101. Each figure was read from the site's public price page on that day and will have moved since. ReMint's own figure is not printed here because it changes daily; it is shown live on the iPhone 13 model page, and on every other model page, for all three grades.

The word "broken" means something different on every site, which is why the headline prices are hard to compare. musicMagpie's Poor tier covers "Heavy signs of scratching and/or wear on device. Cracks, chips, dents or defective pixels (e.g screen burn, dead pixels, liquid damage) to screen or back. Any functional defect and/or intermittent issues." and adds that they "cannot buy your device if it is missing components or is bent, crushed, shattered or snapped in half or does not power on." Envirofone's Faulty tier is "Anything else: cracked screen or back, water damage, or a faulty battery. It must still switch on." Sell Techs' Broken tier says "Must power on. Faulty or broken screen including cracks, discolouration and damaged pixels." Gadget GoGo's Poor tier is for working phones with scratches and dents but no cracks, so a cracked phone there falls into Not Working at £44.07 on 21 September 2026 rather than Poor at £124.66.

The site paying most for a damaged phone was not the site paying most for a working one, so it pays to check both columns. On 21 September 2026 the published prices for a working iPhone 13 128GB with everyday wear were Mazuma, Good, £150; musicMagpie, Good, £136; Envirofone, Fair, £135; Gadget GoGo, Poor, £124.66; Phones.co.uk, Poor, £100; Sell Techs, Poor, £96. Mazuma led the working prices that day at £150 but published £50 for its Broken tier, while We Buy Tek published £101 for Broken. The gap between a site's working price and its damaged price tells you how much that site expects a repair to cost, and it varies a great deal.

ReMint uses three grades and prices each one separately on every model page. Working means no cracks, chips or faults. Picture fine means the phone powers on with a perfect picture but has some other damage or fault: cracked glass on the front or back, a worn battery, a camera, button, Face ID or sound problem. Every phone has to switch on and charge. Picture faulty means the picture itself is at fault, with lines, blots, blank patches, or a replacement screen. Most sites use a single damaged tier, so a phone with cracked glass and a perfect display is priced the same as one whose display has failed; ReMint keeps those two apart because they cost very different amounts to put right.

One rule holds across every site on this list, ReMint included: the phone must power on. A phone that will not switch on cannot be tested and cannot be wiped, so no reputable buyer can price it as a phone rather than as parts. We buy phones that turn on, so if yours does not, none of the prices on this page apply to it.

If you sell to ReMint, the process is short. You get an instant quote by model, storage and condition, then post the phone free by tracked Royal Mail using a printed label or a QR code shown at the Post Office. It is checked within one working day of arriving and paid by bank transfer within 48 hours of arriving, Monday to Friday. The price is locked for 10 days once you order, and if the phone comes back a different grade and you decline the revised offer, it is returned to you free.

To compare fairly, pick your exact model and storage, read each site's tier definition rather than its tier name, and note which tier your phone honestly falls into on each one. Then look at the price for that tier on the day, because the figures above are from 21 September 2026 and every site on this page reprices regularly. ReMint's figures for the models below are live, so what you see on the model page is what you will be quoted today.
