We have stopped buying the iPhone XR.
The iPhone XR is a good phone that has simply aged out of what we can pay for. It is about 8 years old now. What one fetches today barely covers the postage, the testing and the erasing, so any number we put on it would be an insult dressed up as an offer. We would rather say that than quote you two pounds.
Which phone this is
The iPhone XR went on sale in October 2018. It has a 6.1 inch LCD screen and came in 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.
The XR is the LCD phone of its generation, which matters here: an LCD panel is a good deal cheaper to source than the OLED in the XS beside it, so a cracked XR keeps more of its value than a cracked XS does.
Battery health, and the fact that the XR was the volume phone of its year, so the ones still in circulation have generally done a lot of miles.
Sure it is this one?
One rear camera, a 6.1 inch screen, a notch and an aluminium band around the edge, sold in colours the XS never came in. If there is a second lens on the back, you are holding an 11 rather than an XR.
What we do buy
These are the phones we are paying for today whose screens are nearest the iPhone XR's 6.1 inches, so if the size is what you liked about it, start at the top of this list.
If you sell us a different one
You can send any share of what we pay you, up to all of it, to a UK charity you choose. It is one question at the end of the form and it changes nothing else. How One Last Job works.
