Not this one, and here is why

We have stopped buying the iPhone XS.

The iPhone XS is a good phone that has simply aged out of what we can pay for. It is about 8 years old now. What one fetches today barely covers the postage, the testing and the erasing, so any number we put on it would be an insult dressed up as an offer. We would rather say that than quote you two pounds.

Which phone this is

The iPhone XS went on sale in September 2018. It has a 5.8 inch OLED screen and came in 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.

The first iPhone offered with 512 GB, which was an unusual amount of storage for a phone in 2018.

The battery is the thing at this age. A phone still on the one it left the factory with will be well under 80 per cent health by now, and that on its own does not stop us buying it.

Sure it is this one?

Same size, same shape and the same two rear cameras as the iPhone X, which is why these two get mixed up more than any other pair on the list. Gold is the tell, because the X was never sold in it. Anything bigger with the same twin cameras is the XS Max.

What we do buy

These are the phones we are paying for today whose screens are nearest the iPhone XS's 5.8 inches, so if the size is what you liked about it, start at the top of this list.

If you sell us a different one

You can send any share of what we pay you, up to all of it, to a UK charity you choose. It is one question at the end of the form and it changes nothing else. How One Last Job works.
