£444 with the picture gone, 256 GB

Sell your broken
iPhone 18 Pro.

A 256 GB with a faulty display is £444, which is 68 per cent of what we pay for the same phone in one piece. An iPhone 18 Pro is dear enough that a broken one still has a great deal of phone left in it, and the number says so.

Condition

What counts as Picture fine

  • Original screen, picture perfect
  • Touch works everywhere on the screen
  • Front or back glass cracked or smashed
  • A dent, a broken camera or speaker, Face ID not working
  • Any battery health
  • Lines, bleeding, blank patches or dead touch: Faulty, screen broken
  • A replacement screen, however good: Faulty, screen broken
  • Will not switch on or charge: we cannot buy it

Our bench checks every phone against the grade you chose. If it does not match, you get a revised price to accept or decline, with a free return either way.

What the damage costs you

Three figures, and the gaps between them are the point. £654 if it is perfect. £644 once the front glass has gone but the display under it still draws a clean image, a drop of £10. £444 once the image itself is wrong, which is £210 off the top. Cracked glass over a working picture is close to free here, which is not true at most places you could send it.

Those are 256 GB prices, the bottom of this model's range, so a larger one is worth more rather than less. On a panel this good a fault is obvious once you look: a green or pink cast, a band that will not refresh, or a line that stays put while everything else moves. When it is genuinely a toss up, choose the lower grade and let the bench correct it upwards. Our three grades, explained properly.

Where the iPhone 18 Pro sits

That makes the iPhone 18 Pro one of the better ones on this site. Nothing else we buy holds a larger share of its value with the picture gone.

Across the 32 iPhones we buy and can price broken, the ones worth under £50 working keep about 41 per cent of that price with the picture gone, and the ones worth £120 or more keep about 57 per cent. It is the value of the phone that decides it, not the kind of screen in it.

The screen is the part that meets the floor and very little else does. On an iPhone 18 Pro the board, the cameras and the battery are almost always fine afterwards, and since they are most of the value of the phone, most of the value survives.

Worth knowing before you send it

Nothing yet. This phone went on sale on 18 September 2026, so no pattern has had time to show. What we can tell you is that its 6.3 inch 120 Hz display is one of the dearest parts in the whole range, which is why a smashed 18 Pro is still worth a proper price here and not scrap money.

The 18 Pro brought aperture blades to iPhone. Six of them, worked by a rotor mechanism, open and close to set how much light the main camera takes in, and moving parts are worth exercising after a drop. In the camera's Pro controls, set the aperture by hand and step through all four stops, from f/1.48 to f/4: as the number rises, more of the scene behind your subject should come into focus, with no stutter or stuck setting. Face ID now works from a smaller Dynamic Island, so unlock with your face a few times. Against a 17 Pro the body gives little away, but the camera does, since only the 18 offers aperture control. With a dead screen, look inside the SIM slot: a UK 18 Pro is marked A3714.

Sure it is this one?

6.3 inches, three rear cameras, aluminium, and the newest Pro, on sale from September 2026. It is close to a 17 Pro side by side. The finishes give it away: Burgundy, Glacier and Black were never offered on the 17 Pro. Settings, General, About names it outright.

Every size, broken

Picture gone, this model runs 256 GB £444, 512 GB £504, 1 TB £504 and 2 TB £574.

Cracked with the picture good, 256 GB £644, 512 GB £704, 1 TB £754 and 2 TB £794.

The iPhone 18 Pro in one paragraph

The main camera has a variable aperture, new to iPhone this year, in an aluminium body. Four finishes: Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy.

It starts at 256 GB and, for the first time on the smaller Pro, goes all the way to 2 TB. Check Settings, General, About before you send it, because that spread moves the price here.

What happens to a broken one here

It is recent enough that a broken one is a repair rather than a donor, and it is priced on that basis. The screen goes on, the phone is checked, erased and sold, and your damage changes the cost of one part.

Free tracked postage, checked within a working day, paid within 48 hours of it arriving, and erased to recognised standards with the record kept.

Questions about broken phones, from wiping one you cannot unlock to what happens if we disagree with your grade, are answered on the broken iPhone page. The whole of this model, working or not, is on the iPhone 18 Pro page. Still deciding? How to check your iPhone storage size.

Broken iPhones either side of this one

The share beside each name is what that model keeps. Notice how little the panel has to do with the order.
